Happy Mother's Day
On behalf of our young riders, JREC would like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to our wonderful Moms. In addition to all else you do to raise your young riders, we would like to thank you for taxiing your rider to the barn for lessons, caring for your horse, getting up EARLY on show days, being groom/cheerleader/chef at shows, and staying LATE on show days. Thanks again, Moms, and enjoy your special day with your family.

2007 Finals, Day Four
We went out with a BANG!
Sierra started out the day with a 6th place in the Large Pony Hunter stake, and a 6th place in the Large Pony Hunter Under Saddle in the Coliseum.
Carly and Boots followed in the complex with an 8th in Short Stirrup Walk, Trot, and Canter, and a 6th place in Short Stirrup over fences. 2007 was Carly’s first year showing – Congratulations Carly!!!
Margaux had a great round with The Fonz in Pony Hunter, but somehow got overlooked in the pinning. This was Margaux’ last show as a Junior. Congratulations on a great career as a junior rider – we love you! We hope to see you continue to compete with JREC to share your experiences with our young riders!
Sierra finished the show in Large Green Pony with a(nother) first in over fences, and a 6th in the flat class. Combined with her two first places in Saturday’s Large Green Pony over fences, Sierra earned GRAND CHAMPION for Green Pony. Sierra will have her name engraved on the Green Pony perennial trophy, and will display it proudly for the next year.
The JREC website will be updated soon with more pictures, and even some exciting video from the show! Check back soon.
Check out www. horseshowsonline.com for complete show results by Class, Division, Horse, Rider…
We will continue to post exciting news, and/or rider accomplishments throughout the year – stay tuned!!!

2007 Finals, Day Two
A much better day today. Still cold, but the great JREC cooks helped keep our bellies warm.
Erin and Boots (Sock it to Me), and Madi and Sadi (Show ‘N Tell) started the day for JREC in the “A” group in 2’ Special Hunter (2’ Special Hunter had over 60 entries, so they split it into group “A” and group “B’ randomly). Erin and Boots earned a blue ribbon in the first jumping class. Madi and Sadie earned a 4th in the flat class. Boots won a hack-off for Champion!!!
Spencer competed in the “B” group of 2’ Special Hunter on Patch (The Fonz). They earned a 2nd in the first jumping class, a 3rd in the second jumping class, and a 3rd in the flat class for Reserve Champion honors!!!
2’-6” Special was also split into an “A” group, and a “B” group. Alison competed in the “A” group, and earned a 4th in jumping, and a 6th in the flat class. Lesley and Trooper and Tatum and her horse Jack (Humor Me) went in Specials in the B group. They both did wonderful, Lesley got a 6th and 7th in her jumping classes on Trooper(Super Trooper). Tatum and Jack also had good rides in Jr. Pleasure Horse.
Allison and Tally(Call Me Classy) were in the A group for Jr. Pleasure Horse. She and Tally earned a 4th and a 5th! Great Job Allison!!!
Look for more details tomorrow, and hopefully a photo gallery tomorrow.

2007 Finals, Day One
COLD (47F), but the WIND makes it feel much colder. Occasioinal light rain, freezing rain, and snow. We're in Barn 8, near where we were last year.
A scary moment - one of our riders was walking her horse to school in the Colisuem. It was very windy, and blew a large bag at her horse. Her horse reared, then both rider and horse fell. The horse fell on the rider. A brief visit to the hospital determined she only has a pulled muscle.
Another scary moment in the crowded warm-up ring. Someone collided with one of our riders. Fortunately, everyone is A-OK.
We all went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays - FUN. We saw lots of familiar faces from competing during the year. The girls had a blast together, and talking with girls from other barns.
We have five riders in Specials tomorrow. Madi, Erin, and Spencer are in 2'. Tatum and Leslie are in 2'-6". There are 55 riders in 2', and Spencer rides 54th.
Look for an update tomorrow.
